Qualifications & Experience
Ms Kaushik holds dual certification awarded by the Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists (RCOG) as a specialist in Obstetrics & Gynaecology and sub-specialist in Gynaecological Oncology. She is one of the 150 other National specialists formally accredited by the RCOG to undertake complex gynaecological cancer surgery and one of only three cancer gynaecologist and surgeons in Brighton & Sussex. In addition, she is an accredited colposcopist to investigate abnormal cervical smears and manage precancer changes. Ms. Kaushik qualified as a doctor in 1997. She has trained in several hospitals in London and the South East of England including St. Georges Hospital, London and The East Kent Gynaecological Cancer Centre. She obtained her formal subspecialist training in Gynaecological Oncology at Cheltenham General Hospital. She was appointed as a Consultant at Brighton & Sussex University Hospital in 2013. In addition to her clinical duties, she is a member of the British Gynaecological Cancer Commissioning Group.
Ms. Kaushik’s research interests include assessment of the population data to analyse the quality of care received by women with gynaecological cancer and the treatment of precancerous lesions of the vulva. She was awarded the National Cancer Research Institute (NCRI) Prize in 2013 for her research. In addition to making numerous national & international presentations, she has authored two Cochrane Reviews, among other papers.
